NEON Supply
Understand the supply of NEONLINK
Understanding the supply and demand dynamics is crucial when considering the value of any asset. This principle holds true for NEONLINK, the lifeblood of the Neon Link ecosystem. Let's delve into the supply dynamics of NEONLINK and how it contributes to our thriving web3 gaming economy.
The total supply of NEONLINK is capped at 1 billion coins. This finite supply creates a sense of scarcity, a key factor in driving value. However, not all of these coins will be in circulation immediately. Over time, the circulating supply of NEONLINK will increase strategically to foster a sustainable and thriving ecosystem.
Our circulation schedule reflects a 10+ year plan for ensuring a distributed holder base. This long-term vision underpins our commitment to building a robust and resilient network. Even our founder/team allocation has a cliff of 3 years!
While the circulating supply of NEONLINK will increase over time, we also plan to implement deflationary mechanisms to reduce the available supply. These mechanisms, which include burning spent NEONLINK and buying from secondary markets, are designed to counteract inflation from elements like staking and validator rewards.
We understand that some holders may choose to sell their NEONLINK upon listing on exchanges. However, we believe in the long-term value of our network and the benefits it offers to those who stay with us on this journey. As we enter Mainnet Alpha, with our network going live with numerous applications and functionality, we expect to see an increase in long-term participation and commitment.
An example is that our community will be able to delegate their coins to Validators while locking up their NEONLINK for a fixed period of time to earn greater rewards.
With a balanced approach to supply and demand, a long-term vision, and a commitment to rewarding participation, we believe NEONLINK is well-positioned for a bright future. Join us on this exciting journey as we continue to innovate and push the boundaries of what's possible in the blockchain gaming space.
